McArthurGlen centres make up almost half of top 20 best-performing outlets in Europe

Several of our centres have been recognised in this year’s European Outlet Centre Performance Report (OCPRE), published by real estate business consultancy, ecostra, in partnership with the French research institute, magdus. The report surveys decision-makers at brands to identify which centres they consider to be the most profitable outlet destinations in Europe each year.

In the most recent report, which looks at the full year 2025, we were proud to learn that our Roermond and Parndorf centres placed second and third, respectively, while another seven of our centres have featured in the report’s top 20 best-performing outlets. This is a testament to our strong partnerships with our brand partners and our collaborative approach to driving growth and long-term performance.

Southern Europe remains strong

One of the key highlights of the report is the continued strength of southern Europe. In Italy, the top three spots all went to McArthurGlen centres: with Castel Romano and Noventa di Piave joint 1st place nationally (joint 7th in Europe), and Serravalle in 3rd nationally (10th in Europe).

Meanwhile, in Spain, Málaga took the 3rd spot in the country rankings, while coming in at 20th overall.

A spotlight newcomer

Having now been open for over two years, Designer Outlet Paris-Giverny has made its ecostra report debut in style, ranking as the 2nd most profitable outlet centre in France for brands, and 18th in Europe overall.

Commenting on the centre’s entry to the rankings, Dr. Caroline Lamy, CEO of magdus and one of the report's writers, said: “New openings that immediately position themselves among the leaders are indeed extremely rare. [...] It is encouraging to see that new and well-designed outlet centres are clearly continuing to break into the otherwise highly consolidated group of top performers."

A win for West Midlands

Over in the UK, West Midlands and Cheshire Oaks tied for second place nationally, with the centres also taking a joint 10th spot in Europe overall, alongside Serravalle. As West Midlands looks to celebrate its fifth anniversary next month and continues to pre-let its upcoming Phase II development, this vote of confidence from the centre’s brand partners reinforces its position as a top destination in the UK outlet market.

These results reflect the strong presence and success of McArthurGlen centres across Europe, and the hard work of all our teams.
